Fully controlled processing process
An important advantage of contract production at Van Tuijl is full control over the processing process. The company has modern installations for, among others:
- Crushing and grinding
- Fine grinding into very small particles
- Sieving and drying
- Extrusion
- Recipe-based mixing
- Pelleting
These processes can be used individually or in combination, depending on the desired specifications of the final product. This flexibility allows Van Tuijl to respond to a wide range of applications within pet food, from basic raw materials to functional blends.
Fine grinding of raw materials, for example, ensures better digestibility and a consistent structure. Extrusion contributes to microbiological safety and increases the availability of nutrients. By carefully combining these processes within feed production, a stable and reproducible product is created.
Customization based on formulation
Each pet food producer works with its own formulations and quality standards. That is why customization is central to Van Tuijl’s contract production. Raw materials are processed according to specific customer instructions, with precise control over parameters such as particle size, mixing ratio, and structure.
This makes it possible to develop products tailored to specific applications, such as dry dog and cat food, snacks, or functional ingredients. By working based on fixed specifications, quality remains consistent, even at larger volumes.
